According to Ben Shpigel of the New York Times, Johan Santana helped the Mets recruit C Henry Blanco, who the team signed yesterday to a one-year deal.
...Will Johan pull an "AJ Burnett" and have Blanco catch for him in every 5th game the Mets play? Will he request Blanco in big spots? Does "big spots" mean playoffs? Did I just imply the Mets make the playoffs? Did I just go off on a tangent?...
